I'm Joe Yerkins, a design enthusiast and graduate from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. While my academic journey led me to Marketing, my heart lies in Product Design, an industry that continues to fascinate me with its dynamic nature.
My early career as a designer has been marked by my passion and dedication to Product Design, with enriching Co-Op experiences at corporations like Kroger and FOX Sports. Throughout my experiences, I've immersed myself and gained experience in diverse aspects of design, including UX research, building UI components, and working with the organization and structure of Design Systems.
To stay on top of my design skills and to continuously evolve as a designer, I stay plugged into the latest trends and techniques. Podcasts are my on-the-go mentors while two of my favorites are "The Design Systems Podcast" and "Design Better." They're like my virtual design gurus, keeping me in the loop with the industry's ever-evolving landscape.
Outside of work, catch me exploring the world on adventures with friends, possibly getting lost in the process.
